Product Details – “Turn me over, I’m done on this side!” – Saint Lawrence // When the Prefect of Rome demanded that Saint Lawrence bring him the Church’s treasure, Lawrence agreed. He gathered up the people of the church – the poor and the sick – and brought them before the Prefect because Lawrence knew that there is nothing more valuable to the Church than the body of Christ. For doing so, Saint Lawrence was sentenced to a cruel death where he was tied to an iron grate over a fire. God gave him so much strength during his death that it seemed he was not affected by this torture. He even said jokingly, “Turn me over, I’m done on this side.” In a nod to both his bravery and his humor, I thought this quote would be perfect as a grilling apron. I hope that when you wear this apron you are able to meditate on both the bravely of the martyrs, the humanity of the saints, and the power of God’s intercession. // This design comes screen printed on a black, heavy-duty apron.
